Your comfort is our priority. Click below and learn how to prepare.

Please ensure you bring your requisition and a valid health card with you upon your visit. We kindly ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to ensure a smooth check-in process.

For the safety of our staff and other patients, we kindly request that you refrain from visiting the clinic if you have traveled within the last 14 days or have been in close contact with someone who has. Additionally, if you are experiencing symptoms such as a cold, cough, fever, or flu, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. Please ensure you bring your requisition and a valid health card with you upon your visit.

No Preparation Is Required.
We only offer x-ray services as a walk in only. You do not need an appointment for this type of service.

Clothing

For optimal imaging during your appointment, it's best to refrain from wearing any jewelry or clothing containing metallic elements such as clips, snaps, buttons, or zippers. These metal components can disrupt and interfere with the X-rays, leading to inaccurate imaging results.

During The Test

You may be required to remove certain articles of clothing and put on a paper gown. Throughout the X-ray procedure, you will be asked to remain completely still while the test is being performed. The test itself is quick and usually lasts only a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the number of images required.

After The Test

Following the completion of your X-ray, you may be requested to stay at the facility should additional images be necessary. Once you depart, feel free to resume your regular daily activities.

Reports

A radiologist typically examines and interprets the images before forwarding the report to your requested doctor. Your doctor will thoroughly explain and discuss the findings with you during your follow-up appointment.

Clothing

An ultrasound may require you to remove articles of clothing, and you may be asked to put on a paper gown. Certain jewelry items might need to be taken off as they could disrupt the procedure. Loose clothing is required for most ultrasound types.

Before The Test

Upon arrival, you will be asked into the room after changing into a gown or removing clothing from the area being examined. During the procedure, you may be instructed to assume a specific position and maintain it for the duration of the test.

Pelvic Ultrasound: It is recommended to drink 34 oz or 1 liter of water one hour prior to your appointment and refrain from using the restroom.

Abdominal-Renal Ultrasound: Please refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum for 8 hours before your appointment.

Abdominal/Pelvis Ultrasound: It is advised to observe an 8-hour fasting period from eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum. Additionally, consume 34 oz or 1 liter of water one hour before your appointment, and refrain from using the restroom.

Transrectal Ultrasound: Preparation involves using a Fleet Enema or Glycerin Suppository two hours prior to the exam. Additionally, drink 20 oz of water one hour before the examination.

Vascular Ultrasound: No preparation required.

During The Test

A technician would place a lubricating gel onto the area being examined to ensure a device called a transducer makes contact with your skin. For some ultrasound tests (transvaginal and transrectal), the probe is inserted into a natural opening in the body. Most other ultrasound tests are done on the skin surface.

After The Test

You can remove the ultrasound gel with relative ease and no traces. You may go about your daily activities immediately after the test unless otherwise advised by our staff. The reports will be produced by the reading physician and shared with your referring doctor. You may discuss these results with your doctor at a follow-up appointment.

Bone density scans necessitate only minimal and brief preparation. Should you have recently undergone a barium exam, received contrast material for a CT scan, or undergone a nuclear medicine test, it is imperative to inform the clinic. It is important to note that the level of radiation exposure during these scans is exceedingly low.

Before The Test

Before the bone density scan, you may be asked to wear a paper gown. Do not take calcium supplements for at least 24 hours before your bone density test. Patients should be advised not to wear clothing with buttons or zippers or snaps.

NOT to be booked within 10 days of a Barium study or within 7 days of a Nuclear Medicine/ X-Ray Dye study. Bring a list of your meditations.

During The Test

An X-ray machine will scan those areas where bone degradation is most commonly found including the back and hips with minimal physical contact.

After The Test

Once the test is complete you will be able to return to your normal activities.

Results

The test will be interpreted by a radiologist and the results will be communicated to your referring doctor. You may discuss the results of the exam with your doctor at a follow-up appointment.

If you're experiencing breast tenderness as a result of menstruation, you might consider rescheduling your appointment. Additionally, it's crucial to inform both your physician and technologist if you have breast implants.

Before The Test

To ensure the best quality images, you may be asked to remove any jewelry or metal objects on your skin. You will also be asked to remove clothing above the waist and wear a paper gown.

During The Test

The procedure involves positioning the patient upright, with one breast at a time carefully situated between two x-ray plates. These plates are then adjusted gradually to compress the breast tissue, ensuring optimal image quality. Two images are captured for each breast: one from top to bottom and another from side to side.

After The Test

Following the completion of the test, you may experience temporary tenderness in your breasts. Rest assured, you will soon be able to resume your usual activities.

Results

The images will be interpreted by a radiologist who will share the results with your referring doctor. It is suggested to schedule a follow-up appointment with your doctor to ensure that a clear explanation of the results is provided.
